The Drum

beneath my breast beats a rhythm

the life force that flows through my body flows with a rhythm

as I walk from here to there

my footstep they move

they move with a rhythm

my breath , my breath, inhalation and exhalation

in and out, giving and receiving

rhythm rhythm, oh yes life has a rhythm

close your eyes and listen

listen to the sound and movement in nature

listen to life in  motion

listen well and listen intently

oh life has a rhythm, life is a rhythm and yes

the drum, the drums they have a rhythm

listen, feel, taste the rhythm

let it fill you up let it flow in and through you

move with it become one with it 

on with the rhythm one with the drum

life has a rhythm life is a rhythm

become one with the rhythm one with life

you are  the rhythm of life.
