What"s Love Got To Do With it
Gently with your left hand you touch my face and whisper I love you
As salty drops flow down the side of my cheek and mixed with blood that trickle from the lips you not too long kissed
Lips that hours ago held the sweet nectar that you appeared to hunger for
Lips that tasted the sweetness that was you
Now they tremble with fear as the bitter taste of my own blood replace the sweetness that was
Like a clap of thunder your right had met my face in its path no gentleness could be found
The thunder rolled, lightening flashed and stars sparkled from my eyes.
My ears rang from the numerous B-I-T-C-H that flowed from your lips like venom from a serpents' bite
I stood bewildered, belittled and betrayed
Perplexed and confused
How could the same mouth that said I love you and kissed me with such passion recoiled with the poison you now hurl at me
How could one hand caress and the other injure brake and destroy
Two hands
What the hell has love got to do with it?
