The sky reflect the Ocean

Or is it the ocean that is reflected in the sky

Sitting here in the park watching as lovers hold hands

Bathing in the love reflecting in each others eyes

As the love they feel passes through osmosis one to another

Everyone and everything to them are oblivious

Only a shadow intruding on their quit bliss

****

The intrusion distract only for a moment if at all

Gone without even a second thought

I sit here as one of the intruders

Taking momentary joy in the bliss that I see

I feel, I must admit a deep longing and emptiness

Wishing that I too could be part of that world

Only moments ago I too had dreams of moments like this

To feel the fire in your touch

To see sunrise in your eyes

And taste moon drops on your lips

I wonder as I sit

Trying to fight back the tears that threaten to engulf me

Mourning the lost of what could  have been

Could I , would I, should I dare dream that dream again

This is so full of life in the beginning, but what a sad ending. You have the reader following you all through your joy, than sorrow. Great write.

Mary
