Thanksgiving day is a good day to pray,
to share in a prayer and together thanks say,
expressing your blessings with family and friends
for food on the table and the love that God sends
and the roof overhead that keeps out the rain
and the bed you have rest in to dream once again
and for eyes that see sunsets and a voice to sing songs
and forgiveness of others when we tell them our wrongs.
It's easy to pray on thanksgiving day
so much we can smile at as we go on our way
the health of our family ...the help of our friends
a God who will love us until our life ends
so let us be thankful and say it in prayer
for we are his children,so never despair.
