While the weeds were shooting roots deep into the ground
we thought a rose-filled garden was growing all around
and as the heavy random waves crashed nearby our home
you looked upon the heart I gave

and banshees lullaby my sleep
to sooth me with a dream so deep
that all the aching I was dealt
is but a long-gone thorn I felt.
