I've used what I found here,
that's all I chose to do,
whatever I've found here,
I've used to get through.
Those left-over bits,
that I didn't throw out,
they've all come in handy
and still will do,no doubt.
I've never been to proud
for second-hand clothes,
'garage sales' and 'Op' shops,
I really LOVE those.
I'm queen of the bargains,
a discount hunter star,
anything that you can imagine,
I'll buy IT cheaper than where you are.
Call me a 'cheapskate',go ahead,
I'll still go bargain-hunting,
(until I am dead.)
I think there's to much waste around,
wardrobes bulging with clothes worn ONCE,
that sort of spending seems unsound,
when I shop,I'll be NO 'dunce!
I search for products close to expiring,
(80% off ones,and that's NO 'lieing'.)
I've bought designer clothes
for a tenth of their worth,
and I am proud to be ONE OF THOSE
'cheapskates OF this Earth.'

I've been fortunate with my wives/girlfriends all interested in saving money, especially when it came to clothes and household items. In fact, just like my mother. My current partner picks up designer clothes at Goodwill and offers them to fit her to a T.

I used to do yard sales with my friend Anna. She loved to shop for clothes that don't fit her, and whenever she held a yard sale people would come knocking on her door bright and early around 6:30 in the morning because they knew she would have a lot of good stuff for sale. Some of the designer clothes still had the price tags on when she did her yard sale. She was a compulsive shopper, bought things with her credit cards, and then sold them cheap when she needed money to pay her bills so her hubby wouldn't find out. LOL!!!!! I bought a mink coat from her once for only $500.00!
I also held my own yard sales, but only sold cheap and castaway stuff from my house. When all was sold, I went to some bargain shops to buy more stuff that was worth selling so I could make some money from the sales, so most of the stuff I sold was actually new stuff, not old. I think I was just obsessed in running the yard sales and selling. I don't know why I did what I did, but people actually would buy from me. I once bought a brand new box of 12 lipsticks in the bargain store for $4.99/box and came home to sell the box for $12.00. The first box I sold to a woman who was so excited to have bought the 12 lipsticks from me for the price of $12.00 because she thought it cost only $1.00 each. She held the box with a big smile on her face, thought she has made a good deal.
I no longer do the yard sales now. With the Dollar Rama here in Canada now that everyone would know the price of everything cheap already, and I can't find anything that is cheaper to sell to make money. Those were the fun days when I could make money off everything I sold, and the money that I received from the sales I rolled up the bills in my hands, and the roll being so thick I even had to secure it with an elastic band - looking like I had made so much money! It was a lot of fun!
