They're in my head! Words someone said,
Some harsh and rude, seem to intrude
My inner man can't understand,
until the Paraclete I meet...
This One the Son said would come near,
His words to comfort and to cheer!
How powerful His words I've heard,
About my loins He says to gird
The truth, He speaks as does a friend,
To understand & comprehend,
the paraleipsis of the phrase
Power from the Ancient of Days!
Yes, He will give the will to live,
His power to feed our innermost need
And only when we bow will He
Come by our side to help us see
Within ourselves we're yet so small,
But by His Spirit we stand tall.
And words we speak that have His touch,
Will go forth fruitful, bearing much! WORDS!
Without the Power of the Holy Spirit our words are empty and
ineffective - but with His Presence in them they are our SWORD,
our HAMMER, our SEED. They cut to silence evil, they pound to break
the sin, they grow as seeds to bear fruits of Righteousness.
