Life is a portrait we paint day by day,
Stroking the canvas with colorful hue--
As passion and purpose are put on display,
Various poses and scenes come to view.

First we see childhood, so tiny and sweet.
Teenagers recklessly killing their peers,
Next come adults who are walking the streets,
Followed by seniors with all of their fears.

Each phase of life brings a various tint
Of colour we add to this portrait sublime--
When looking steadfastly we see with a glint,
Life marches on thru this thing we call time.

Paint your life boldly and be not afraid,
Let colour abound on your canvas so bright--
When others behold what life has portrayed
Your picture will glow to them in the night!
