Biding One's Time
Our daily affairs too oft go awry,
Making us wonder what else we should try.
We wonder if life is really worthwhile,
If biding one's time will last one more mile!
One writer declares we struggle within,
Flesh against spirit to see who will win,
Yet somehow the will continues to strive,
Encouraging self to not lose its drive!
Now what does biding one's time really mean?
Awaiting each day; enduring; serene;
Knowing that this too will not always last,
Trusting the future will outweigh the past!
If viewed in this light we know beyond doubt,
To bide is a time that God's all about-
Waiting is part of God's ultimate plan,
For in this domain He can speak to man!
So do not complain when life takes a turn,
Reason is, there may be something to learn-
Our God's in control and He'll see us through,
Yes, biding one's time may help to imbue!
