Beyond The Realm of Dreams

When bounds of logic stretch

past conscious belief.

When even within dreams

the possibility of life together

is far...

Far from the realm of reality,

what more then,

is there but to dream.

Within the realm of dreams...

Hand in hand,

we walk the flower dotted,

grassy field.

Within the realm of dreams...

Hand in hand, barefoot

we stroll the warm sand

and rock strewn beach.

Beyond the realm of dreams,

where distance in time and space

and obligation are impossible

to overcome.

Within the realm of dreams...

What more then is there

but to dream

the dream of sleeping;

your head upon my shoulder,

the breath you breathe

warm upon my ear.

Who then can foretell or prompt

or dismiss a dream?

To awaken with a sad heart,

and a longing within your soul.

Who then can foretell or prompt

or dismiss the slumbering thoughts

that come at night,

that bring sighs of longing

upon awakening,

or the tears that form...

Beyond the realm of dreams,

cc,

beyond the realm of dreams.

Mark, my friend, you're an old man. And I'm even older. Perhaps that's why I feel so completely in tune with your calling out of the possibilities of life, the dreaming of strolling hand-in-hand, the dreaming and perhaps the remembering of a loved one sleeping with their head on your shoulder, the sighs of longing upon awakening or the tears that form...

Oh, yes, Mark, you write poignantly of the realm of dreams even children know about and other dreams that many of us seniors sadly remember and, too, of dreams that many have yet to know.

Thank you for sharing from the abundance of your experience and wisdom and for gifting us with your exquisite talent.

Richard

Reality can really sting sometimes and I don't believe that dreams should ever be left to die as one day they may be realized ... but even if they are not, it is best to live with hope and keep them close to your heart. Sad, my friend, and packed with emotion ... touches my heart as I'm sure it does to many others ~ Lizzie

Beyond the realm of dreams we have to return to the reality of our lives, now that can be a good thing, Mark...

Beyond the realm of dreams one can find a forest of incertitude, mountains of doubts or gardens graced by eternal rainbows of happiness.
Beyond the realms of dreams one can fin an air of platitude, the velvet of peaceful silences or a thorn named rejection.
Beyond the realm of dreams shouldn't never be a sorrow.

Georg

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
