Her Name

 

Her featured name coming up on Authors Den

list today

though we had mutually agreed to limit contact,

though

there had been no contact

for days

though our minds are now

adjusted to the knowledge

that our long distance,

sightless,

touch-less romance must end,

did end...

Still,

when her name came up

my eyes were drawn to

her name

and there came a heaviness to my heart

and a deep sadness to my mind

and

yes,

we both know this is best

and

yes,

we both know this is the only outcome,

yet,

when her name came up on Authors Den...

Interesting, but the over use of commas let it down in my humble opinion, but good effort.

All too often love finds us where we least expect it, and when it does we may try to ignore it and walk away but even then it lingers in our hearts like a wound that takes forever to heal and even then leaves a scar.
