Who are these people

Who are these people?

Those that are born American,

those that went to the same schools as you and me,

those that received the same basic education as you and me,

those that have the same basic choices as you and me.

Where do these people come from?

Who are these people?

Who are those that become so twisted?

Who are those that found the reasons for such hatred?

Who are those that hate so completely they aimlessly would kill you and me?

Where do these people come from?

Who are these people?

Those that have the same basic opportunities as you and me,

those that learn to hate so completely they would aimlessly kill young and old,

those that would aimlessly pump bullets into those unfortunate enough to just be there?

Where do these people come from?

Who are these people?

Those same people that held hand to hearts,

those same people that pledged allegiance to The United States of America?

What twisted their minds so completely they would aimlessly kill young and old?

What twisted their minds so completely they would aimlessly pump bullets into those unfortunate enough to just be there?

In the name of God!

Who are these people?

From where in hell do these monsters come?

These people are sad . . . , They are broken . . . , They are without hope . . . , They are without faith . . . , They are God's people . . . , They matter.

These tragic events are painful, scary and terribly sad but never forget that it could happen to you. We all have the ability to snap. It is best to not judge, nor condem but to look to God and allow him to do what he does better than all of us . . . , forgive.

Big loving hugs~

Mark, I agree!! My son was at lunch when a senior opened fire and shot principal in the head and killed her. Then he shot the other principal in the back. He shot them because he was afraid to tell his father he was suspended. I just don't understand why anyone thinks the answer is killing another. So sad!! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? Always ~Chessly

So sad a day, but glad you can pen it and present it, he lost it, and it is said due to mariuana, which i thought was not so bad, but seems to be otherwise to some people.

Like you I have pondered these questions...and yet these people started out life as innocent babes...Some in our societies are not affected by all the pressures of todays world...some visibly crack under the strain, and innocents fall victim..It is all so sad. We need to be more alert at spotting the signs, and taking notice of those who give warnings...Hugs, Diana..

I don't understand it either. But after reading a few news clips, it appears that drugs were involved. Perhaps there were severe levels of mental abuse in his childhood and he and his family never got the help or Love they needed from the rest of humanity.

We all tend to turn away from those who are in need, instead of reaching out to prevent harm. The song, "Concrete Angel" is a good example of this.

When children are being hurt we need to interfere and do what we can to prevent it, because a severely mentally abused child can grow into this sort of "monster" when the only help he can find, to escape the pain, is drugs.

I think many of us are asking these very same questions, Mark. I agree that your concluding line sums it up. Another great tragedy has befallen our country. Could it have been prevented? I don't know...but there were certainly signs. Senseless! Madness! So many questions, so many lives forever altered. Powerful write, my friend ~Lizzie

Hatred breeds hatred, apathy and indifference are fuel for the fires of rage... wholesale social and political change seems the only solution to a seeping malaise so sinister and strange.
