The Words Poets Write The words… The words that we, the words that we that write poetry put forth for others to see can so often, are so often interpreted as coming from our lives, are so often interpreted as to be a part of our life, are so often interpreted to be a happy or sad or frightful part of our lives. The words that we that write poetry put forth for others to see so often lay open the pain of our lives, the sadness of our lives, the loving times of our lives, the hateful times of our lives. The words that we that write poetry put forth for others to see can and do lay open the joy the pain the sorrow the happiness the essence of our souls… the essence of our souls is stripped open for the world to see and sometimes.. The words that we that write poetry put forth for others to see sometimes… Sometimes the words that we that write poetry put forth for others to see are just words. Words that may rhyme or words that may be freeline or words that may inspire or words to bring joy or words to think by or words to become impassioned by and these words… these words may really be nothing more than words, words that we that write poetry write.

Mark, You know alot of truth is in my writing but the sexy stuff is just me hoping to find it one day! Lonely Girl is actually my best friend looking for love and never finding it! Sometimes it is difficult to know if it is make believe or real...I personally think the best writing comes from our hearts like your writing my sweet friend. I don't believe "we" write, necessarily, of our own life experiences, but sometimes draw on those of others in our words. It's difficult to tell which is which, but heartfelt words, regardless of their origin, touch the heart and soul. Always nice to read you, my friend. ~Lizzie

Lots of truth here, my friend....sometimes I wonder indeed if the poet writes of his/her own life experiences or did he/she pull them from the recesses of imagination....fun to guess at that!

It is often hard to differentiate between a poet's work that is personal experience or just something that came as an idea to explore and I find the better the writer the easier it is to start believing the poet is writing about his/her own life experiences.

I think this is wise, Mark.
I'm one of those emotional girls who can't help but put a piece of her heart in each thing she writes, it can't be any other way for me. But you write with innate wisdom and it is important to remember that sometimes words are just words. :)
