Mind blocked, 

haven’t a clue.

Nothing to say,

What’ll I do?

Urge to write!

Haven’t a thought.

Minutes passing...

zero, zip, naught.

Thinking...

Thinking,

mind’s in a whirl,

brain now,

brain’s a-twirl.

Words of love…

Nah, not in the mood.

Get up, go!

Go get some food.

Back now,

eating’s done

mind’s still blocked

and this ain’t fun.

Urge to write!

Haven’t a thought.

Minutes passing...

zero, zip, naught.

Tail a-wagging,

snout nudging my knee.

“Outside, Kody?

Maybe… we’ll see."

Excited now,

no need to wait,

out the doggy door

waiting at gate.

Kody chasing a squirrel,

I'm away from the screen

within my mind nothing,

nothing yet to be seen

Breathing the air,

clearing my mind,

nothing there,

nothing I can find.

Inside again,

still no thought.

mind searching,

still… zero, zip, naught.

Oh, well,

 give up this day,

switch computer for TV

I'll let my mind lay.

Maybe later,

maybe, we’ll see
