Two comments on this fine poem, Michael. First, I like the
structure and the writing of it. Second, my response to the
poem is obviously to agree with the concluding line. Not
just a word but the ignorance behind the word. Or the way
we're taught to hate -- carefully taught, as the song goes
in South Pacific. -gene.
