Cautioned by the ways of summer’s heat

I’d shower the desert with rain just to hear you speak,

I’d catch the stars in the sky as if they were lightning bugs,

To be rewarded with your most sensuous hug,

Please kiss the wind and let it land upon my lips,

Send the ocean’s waves to me from the motion of your hips,

I’ll write a letter across the sky,

And send a poem so warm just to get you by,

I can’t deny that I’m missing you,

Wishing I was there to hold you through the night,

While we awake to nature’s sweet harmony,

As the birds serenade you and me,

We love with no intent of letting go, so I hold you tenderly,

Our day becomes our way and knows no end,

I’ll capture the sun’s beams and put them

So you can have some sunshine no matter

Even as I am away I send my love everyday

Knowing that God delivers it and keeps it shining through,

As we shall embrace this love

So our union I’ve honored with these words written,

With so much meaning each line being love lines

As feelings will never be hidden,

Has no bounds and knows no end.
