We knew

Now that we're older
We know what we want
No more idealism

Your words hit home...yet, it is here, in the present that we are...and I assume one day, "these" will be the "good old days."

Ahhh but it (that generation) changed the world, some for the better some for the worst but at least we tried and believed in what we did...
