When growing up-
I was never told
What possibilities were
I was never
Asked about school
Or inspired to become
Who I was suppose to be
That is all in the past
And I know about possibilities
Not only for myself
But those who I meet

I especially like your last two lines: "Not only for myself/But those who I meet" That explicitly shows * * * what was not 'shown' was solidly 'found' anyway. Wonderful, Deborah. ~~ DIana

Thank God that we live in a
country that allows us to
explore "Possibilities"
and Thank You, Deborah for
your poem on the subject

All of us Deborah, whether encouraged or
not of possibilities it is something each
and all of us must learn on our own.

Is it not true that if we were told we
would not have found our own way that
which best fits ourselves? Otherwise, my
dear Deborah we would perhaps follow
what someone else suggested instead of our
own hearts desires. :)

I was just pondering on this very subject the other day!!
I was imagining if I had recieved direction back in the day
"mindful encouragements" how different my life path would be.
Ahhh Pondering Moments!! It was hard enough dealing with hunger though, and then an array of events that chiseld my path

We always have to find out for ourselves. For if others teach us we do not learn as well as if we teach ourselves.

Far too many grow up this way, Deborah, but once we become adults and find out who we are....the possibilities become endless! Uplifting write!

I think through the educational system and twelve years plus if you go on to college, you are likely to find out the possibilities on your own. I mean that's what the education is there for, to enlighten you and show you there are many possibilities, what we do with that knowledge is of our own making.

We should all learn as much as we can about Possibilities.

Your poetry has many possibilities now that you're grown up, D. I've seen you grow from the early days. These words are inspiring to me.

Sage
