Rainbows don't last
However beautiful they are
For the heart
Is much stronger
And endures
All the emotions
We encounter
The strongest
Of these emotions
Is love-
Even if that love ceases
We still carry it
In our heart, always
Like a photograph
Frozen in time...
Beautiful images live on. The rainbow, fleeting as it is, is God's image, imprinted in the sky to remind us of His everlasting promise (to never destroy the earth by flood again).

Wonderful last three lines to this sensitive poem. Those three lines put a vivid image in the reader's mind, and likely that reader is placing a face of their own experience in that photograph of which you speak. Good piece for identifying with all who read this. ~~ Diana

The heart is the strongest muscle in our bodies. I believe that's why it carries on long after everything else has deteriorated and only rebels in an occasional heart attack. Long live the heart!
Loving with all your heart, hurts too....I think that is why God created it as a muscle to flex it over and over, helps us know we are alive and can continue to experience new love and old love.
Isn't it great love comes in many different ways? Family, children, friends, and especially my puppies! HAHAHA...I even talk to my plants and they give me beautiful flowers...I know I love them and they love me back with their petals of beauty!
