Plastic Carnation

I peer out with crooked neck

Shyly visible

From frayed lapel

Like my companion of homelessness

I just want to exist

How perfect this marriage

Plastic flower adorning ignored struggle

Ernest imitations together

Wanting so to be real

Notice our smiles

It’s all we’ve left

Plastic could describe many a marriage......the sham of an existence, brittle and just shy of a crack. Enjoyed~ Morgan
