Fortunately, my heart is moist and warm–at least the last time I checked on it. ;-) And there's nothing like a good stiff drink to lessen the pain. Or make you forget that you had it. That's right, you already tried that, and it didn't work.

Odin, your heart is definitely not dry. This poem is written with a deep understanding of such pain. I too have been there, that is why poets can write such amazing poetry that all can relate to.
Yes a dry heart is a dead heart...so true. Crying tears of cleansing health is so good for the body, mind and soul..

For the person who possesses a dry heart will not moisten it by means of others, they must look within themselves. They must review them self for who they are, for to be moistened by another will not cure what is within them for that is only temporary from that soul.

Pain and toxic memories must be released, for to hold onto them is ones own self ego. For past is that, past "dead" and gone and a person should not hold onto it. It is as though to hold onto it is like holding on to those comfortable pair of jeans, they feel good and you do not wish to part with them. But there comes a time they no longer serve the purpose as they had in the past. They then must be removed and a newness comes in and healing. Then you can look to the sunrise and move forward to better things once the dead tattered things have been buried. Then you will moisten your own heart and happiness arrives.

Yes, a dry heart is indeed a dead heart until that soul wakes up.

Yes indeed, Odin, a dry heart is definitely a dead heart. There are many reasons for such a thing as a dry heart to happen to a person. Greed comes to mind. Complete self interest suns greed a close race. Then there is something called one upmanship, (new word) which destroys any chance of living on an equal basis with anyone. Yes indeed, Odin, a dry heart is definitely a dead heart.
