With such a vogue to live “in the moment” there remains the beyond to be imagined and lived.

Can We Ever Know...
by Odin Roark

The end of one's vibrations
Made audible
Made visible
Make tactile

For a Stradivarius
Or a Steinway
Or a Pavarotti high G
Knows not any end
Only distance

Yet

As humans
We easily forget last utterances
The cry of a baby's discomfort
The pain of a homeless wail
The sob of a relationship ended

Somewhere however

The vibrations continue
Attaching themselves
To awaiting polarized matter
The cosmos knowing there remains the next creation

And the next
And the next

When
Sound's resonance
With light's ever present heat
Slaps
Punches
Hugs
Touches

There continues the listening
The feeling of passionate whispers
The longevity of gentle caresses

To stop
To step out
Into midnight's silence
Is to hear
To know
To trust

We can
Ever know...

The 'sound' of the universe, I am told, is 80 octives below our ability to hear, but sometimes, perhaps, harmonics might reach us. Some lucky ones will call that voice a god, but most of us are simply unable to know ... very nicely done, as usual, Odin.

In a nutshell, we cannot see beyond the outcome of entropy. Or can we?

The whole of this one steps right into the midst of mirror and echo frequencies. There are significant cosmic reverberations in these lines, written with spaciousness and inclusion, underscoring the idea that nothing ends, even thoughts..... they just keep traveling the universe where we hope to eventually encounter them all with new perception. ~~ Diana
