where the heart flows of blood
both yours and mine
where children and the aged seem one

Why is this place
with us always
yet elusively
unseen
unheard
untouched
pending our ready
enduring our will

How is this place
to show itself
when sadness clouds vision
joy seems unearned
glory of the now drifts out of reach

When will this place
reveal
become
be known
as nature wishes

There is a place
most long to see
that realm where love
asks not of another
but lives only to be
