Where Comes...

- Sincerity, integrity, honest pursuit need not be denigrated because it might not match up to someone else’s adopted standard. The individual process is what counts. The seeking out of an honest pursuit of BEING.

Where Comes...
by Odin Roark

Such a quiet sublime
When the irrelevant seems so obvious
When air in the lungs
Holds peacefully to reveal relevant lasting stories
Even...
Ideas opined not yet shared

When eyes make known the hidden
When the breath uplifts buried treasure
When the touch upon petal-laden roses
Reveals not romance
But beauty vying to divulge its protected mystery
The enigmatic embellishment of love

Where children remind the hardened
That tricky bars are an imagination's acceptance
That fulfilling desires invites one's lunge
That the geek among us only asks
Accept me

Why some vanquished
Ask not for gifts
But only to BE left at peace
With themselves

How hostile our planet
Repressing the innocent imploring
Their discovery count as well
Their mistakes be theirs
As well as ours
Knowing learning knows no fault

Yet

Idolizing the gambler-payoffs
The rewards often outside reality
Remaining for many
The mantra
The fist thrust
Yes
Yes
Yes
Begs question
Even as answers
Levitate their limited existence
Knowing another round awaits

For what...really
Why this frenetic quest for solution
So much earnest effort
The integrity of so many minds and hearts asking
Why not that
Consider this

To dismiss such ideas
Is to ignore
The essence of living
Realizing today's satisfaction
Is but a prelude to
Tomorrow's discontent

Perhaps we should be pursuing
Where comes...
This need to BE
Something other than what
Others wish us to be

Interesting questions to ponder. I find that there is a lot of attempt to reduce education to schooling of a certain type of conservative mentality that will prolong our movement towards being citizens of this world and beyond.

our need to be should be about who we inside wish to be regardless

You have a friend in spirit who agrees: "This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man." Bards of a feather...
