How often we become aware (or coerced) and buy into the “free ride,” that when all is said and done, there is a price. Did Hunter know that? Did David Foster Wallace know that? Do we know that? There is much to be said about the "indirect" journey to give credence to an outcome of struggle my grand daddy said in so many words, he being Cherokee. Respect the "oblique as answers in hiding," he said...even working it into a chant he later on revealed to me.
