There is little we know, but horde. There is much we ignore, but vanquish with ignorance.

When Earth Is Far Away
by Odin Roark
Will the ashes of expression accompany the journey
Will the magic of matter's impervious existence
Emerge with the next iteration
Follow behind
Lead...
How calm the blackness
Punctuated with asterisk and dashes
Thought by ink
Voice
Digital formulae
All converging as ethereal
Junk
History
Wisdom
Prophesy
Vestiges
Will we Big Bang ourselves
Send centuries of ice and fossil-preserved history
Tumbling eastward
Westward
Anyward
Perhaps
The amalgamation
Flesh
Heart
Mind
Will find solace
With mere existence
Void of annihilating dis-ease
Perhaps
A sane civilization
Will gather the dust
The ice crystals
The melting waters
Of mistakes made
Aspirations daunted
Purity made but redolent yesterday
And discover what we could not
When Earth Is Far Away
Will we become aware
budd
I now hope and pray that's true, but I also fear there will be little left by the time we're through.
