Jigsaw Perfection

How weary grows the heart,
fatiguing the mind,
tiring the loins of anticipation,
all for the finding of the perfect fit,
the ideal inlay of two persons
the curvature and perfection
of love’s yin and yang.

Yet…

So many veer from the puzzles path,
distracted by simpler challenges,
the placing of oneself in easy attainment,
avoiding the discovery of the difficult pieces.

How easy it seems to seek out but two components fitting together,
bothered not by the grayness surrounding them,
the risk of love’s jigsaw challenge,
the effort to find the surrounding elements
that truly allow an integral commitment’s success.
