A boy’s first exposure to a mausoleum never fades. A place where my father first told me of the sometimes loveless seclusion of wealth. Now, this distant memory begs my imagination to question. (Image by etsy)

Dark Ever Light
by Odin Roark
I the prisoner.
You the window.
Through blue glass eyes,
we share a sky where nothing ends
Here where sunlit rays seduce,
becoming shackles hinting pleasure,
while painfully refusing closure.
How persistent Nature's innocence,
parading life’s image amidst dust motes alight,
drifting, enfolding eternal love,
asking not,
giving all.
Why…
In this room's coldness,
this tomb where dreams never end,
you return again and again?
Will you always be
dark ever my light?
I guess it's the stuff that creates ghosts in peoples' imaginations. The sadness, dust, and low or absence of light.
Ron
