Dreamt Awakenings
by Odin Roark
Words without color
are words drawn from an empty well,
from fathoms of dusty knowledge that fade
as time encroaches time.
And sounds without song
are but shards of empty utterances,
where once melody passed from quill to paper,
from page to book, from heart to soul
but are now mere ellipses to…
He needs her to touch his heart
to envelop their being with shadow's light
and paint choruses of joy atop a palette of love.
He has forged the arc of their journey
wherein awaits the mystery,
that patience bestows on time,
that willingness that allows for hope,
the courage delivered with passion.
“Be my Shadowlight” he asks.
Dance with me in the whiteness of infinite rainbows
even as many answers linger in shadows.
With patience granting little,
today, he began a walk through unknowns,
through questions without answers,
through memories not yet born,
through answers to be earned.
Tonight he continues his walk through tomorrow,
where mind and spirit protect each other in anticipation's darkness,
where sleeping sunsets not yet seen prepare their colors of peace and quiet,
where sunrise waits to dawn its light of anticipation.
Tomorrow he will take a walk back through tonight,
remembering the wind that carried the sweet fragrance of her smile,
the touch of translucent thought and feeling upon his lips,
the shadowlight that protected him from yesterday
remaining for his many tomorrows.

pepper temporal dimensions associated
in spatial dispersion.'
This poem of yours could be a variation of my own poem Third Eye Rill. Well constructed and received. Your heart diamonds are glimmering. r

Love the lines (among others):
"With patience granting little,
Today, he began a walk through unknowns."
Sounds like a summary of my life.
