So Many Summers Left

For what is thirty?
Merely prints of one's hands in the sand,
a youthful day at the beach for any age,
forever implanting impressions,
even as tides come in,
or tides go out.

Continued imprints of living keep innocence alive,
confirming existence is sublime

That's all "thirty" is although back in the late 60's we warned not to trust anyone over 30 as they were "the establishment". Perhaps we were right but times have changed. Excellent write!

I like the idea of endless summer, chasing it around the world.

Some seniors in United States are called "snowbirds," because they migrate with the seasons, spending summers in the north and then spending winters in the South and summers in the North. In between, they enjoy fall and spring along the way.
