Our daily awakening asks much of us. How much are we willing to explore and challenge in this 6-lane fast lane? (Image by Lawrence R. O’Leary Jr.)

Speedy Machine, Short Ride
For so long,
How simple the decision,
Adolescent verve clinging,
Teens,
Young adults,
Adults,
Delivering but blurred lines.
Yet, clarity is patient.
How arresting
When canvases stretched
Invite wash of honest hues,
Beckoning clear eyes quenched by truth
Extending visceral pigments rich,
Arcing brush tendrils of mind's synapses
Across learning's pleading fiber,
At last accepting not colors by numbers.
Such is the risk of a rogue's palette,
A liquefied Philip Glass expedition
Traversing life's uplifts,
From unconquerable peaks
To endless deserts,
Past fathomless oceans
Into undefined infinity.
Such is to genuinely be.
Love ya!
