Poem Artwork

Just being

Mountains and sea
Will live happily ever after,
Accepting they are stone and water,
Erosion and weather,
Yin and yang.

Oceans don’t complain.
They tide high or low,
Pressure released,
Nature’s renewal complete,
awaiting the next moon magic.

While…

Mountains reject weakness.
They suck it up.
Hold their strength tight,
Occasionally sending an offspring
To the valley floor.
But resent?
Regret?
Bad moods because they might not be the highest peaks?
Reason thinks not.

Most likely…

Nature doesn’t long to be something it’s not.
Sea = water.
Rain = growth.
Stones = rock.
Sun up.
Sun down.
Cloudy skies.
Flesh and blood.
Nature’s purpose just being who and what creation made of them.

Still…

Why is it so difficult for so many humans to just be?
