Triple Exposure
abandoned once
by mother in an hour of pain
by father in an hour of fear
wedged between their hurt and dread
then to find one's own connections
the weaving of new and unfamiliar strands of love
only to risk being misread and destroyed
by one's own wounds and fright
abandoned twice
is perhaps but the setting of a stage
one that heeds the change of light
the movement
the shadows
exposures that know of singularity
even amidst the layering of multiples
abandoned thrice
reserved for but few
those other desperate souls
not you
not me
no
no
of course not
Love ya!
