Clogged Drain
To do the right thing,
to understand how easy
it is to repeat yesterday’s wrong history in the making,
is to assume the societal drain is never clogged.
Really?
The gurgle-dance of circling the drain
has become the perpetual final “never ending” act
for an impotent congress.
Wrong is not right,
but viewing wrong through “not my fault” rose-hued glasses
can perpetuate the swirling dervish-like act of blaming,
but never daring to stop the current of a soon-to-be
clogged drain.
Such is delusional.
As of this moment…
The moral-rooter machine is without power,
sucking air and preparing to clock-out,
while the drudge and sludge,
the suit and tie chorus line
steps back from the swirl
as if the drain isn’t there.
Pollution, voice, action, or disguised guilt,
knows no limit it seems
Yet…
Love ya!
