With wife beating today’s headline, one has to wonder: Under a certain roof, there might exist the 21st century version of a much less sane King Charles VI of France (Charles the Mad) sanctioning the behavior of a top White House aide, Rob Porter: “It’s obviously a tough time for him,” the president said. “He did a very good job when he was in the White House, and we hope he has a wonderful career.” Really?

Braggadocious
Like a debauched cat with a passive face
catching sadistic thrills from watching mice squeal
after finding their feet stuck on a glue trap,
such arrogance huddles in the vacuous shadows of absence,
preparing for his next depraved behavior.
For such a person…
Each intake of breath is one too many.
Each exhalation another rendering of braggadocio.
Each of us holding the head of anger within a bubbled up tear,
As our guillotine eyelids ensure such will roll... sooner or later.
Love ya!
