Once upon a time
He made his own coffee,
Clung a lot to the past.

He scored below average in school,
But that was only grades.

He couldn’t afford to fill his tank,
But that was just a car.

Once upon a time
Low bank balance always cost him a fee,
But that was only money.

Once upon a time
His woman filled his cup half empty,
But that was about growing up.

Once upon a time
His flesh ruled it all,
But that was ‘cause his mind was asleep.

Once upon a time
He poured his own coffee,
But discovery tends to him now…
