Dust's Endgame

by Odin odin@aflx.com — Read all 3,869 poems by Odin odin@aflx.com

Whether secular or religious minded, what happens with all matter is inarguably fascinating. (Image Helix Nebula)

Dust’s Endgame

Dust to dust.

Dust to form.

Creation’s existential wait time.

Such residue,
akin to ever present sense reactions infiltrating one’s brain,
where reason’s resilience is impossible to fully quell.

For…

That which we try to wipe away with a cloth,
or wish away with wind’s movement,
or allow to layer in the attic,
hangs on like memories thought to be long forgotten,
yet forever secreted away in the dark infinity of mind.

For there is no unlearning,
just as what constitutes reality,
can’t be unrealized,

Illumination’s quintessential answer might be…

Only the universe can find order
with the interminable expansion of matter’s dust,
when minute particles reach terminal mass
and await cosmic intuit for final say,
when form inexorably becomes its own ineluctable fate,
known as infinity’s point of return…
the next beginning.

yes, the true deed ends with incompleteness of its outcome; otherwise, there's what is called endgame, death. But it is a call only. At large, the endgame is our mindset in terms and conditions of our limitations. We need them cuz our bodies are the cages for our souls, for spiritual sides of our selves. Let the mentioned endgame be just a formal milestone on the way forward to our massive awareness. Cheers, alex

That's why I believe in cremation and green burials. Ashes to ashes, and dust to dust. Being pumped full of embalming fluid, and then sealed up, has no appeal for me.
