modernity’s insistence of the primal wail
echoing through the narrow memory of mind.

losing daily the value of history,
blinded by present and future demands
often forget life is but the evolving past
clad in different costumes.

We, who spawn future generations,
need to remember mankind will always be charged
with the stewardship of yesterday's language,
whether on the rocks, walls, parchment paper,
video screens, holographic or virtual reality potential.
