Creation’s Artifact.
For the artist,
the heart is invisibly shared in clay,
oil paint,
marble,
an arabesque,
a fugue,
or as sub-text beneath text.
It is for all its creativity and steadfastness,
but an artifact of human agency,
made with maverick independence,
thriving on the chaos of one’s experience,
and like the neon-flashing appetites of the Vegas Strip,
mirroring pain felt from a world chasing delusions.
How cherished,
this expression of creativity’s beating passion,
valve by valve,
artery by artery,
vein by vein,
sustaining the visionary fairy dust
being whispered into every creation.
Lovely poem!
Peace, love and light,
Amber
There's a lot of that going on, for sure. I chased after my delusions for two decades. It took me three decades to understand my sad plight and overcome them.
