Perfection’s Struggle
Like another brush-stroke-taken-chance
on the canvas of resonant layers,
we strive to avoid the ill-chosen element of color
or texture embellishing an experience we wish
to serve us well.
Yet…
The perfection of the breathing,
existence we possess for such a short while,
the very air that will allow the canvas to mature,
becomes touchable by all our senses,
and accepts its destiny to be,
is forsaken.
How often we disappoint ourselves,
find fault for having allowed the experience,
that moment allowed its mistake,
the embraceable lesson we can only learn
from respecting the discordant nature of our reality…
the reality we create for ourselves,
in becoming the moment of truth.
Hopefully…
Our sense of the real
that comprises many brush-stroke-taken-chances,
will be given permission to error,
to become another lesson in fact.
Rather, as you alluded to in your prosetry, I chose to always just rush headlong in and make mistakes along the way. By being unmindful of my mistakes, but learning them later, I subconsciously corrected myself and generally did not make the same mistake again. So each time I did something, it was more perfect, but not perfection in itself, except by observation of others. When that happens and someone tells you that you were perfect, like a teacher, it is very rewarding.
