Tearful Glaciers...

by Odin odin@aflx.com — Read all 3,869 poems by Odin odin@aflx.com

Can it not be argued that Nature’s way of love and hate, life and death is but a living paradox in constant motion? (Image by Paco Pomet)

Tearful Glaciers

Tearful glaciers are love’s graveyard,

where innocent time once started,
where affection and tenderness once reigned,
where all was the one of all.

For the wounded…

Missteps were a time when passions met,
lust was mistaken for love,
where impatience became blood of the future,
where promises were forgotten.

For the healing…

Memories fade with each tearful purge

cascading through the mantle shifts

of mind and heart fissures of retreat.

Hurt is shifting now

for the glaciated tears that once were

are succumbing to the fever of resolve.

Your words hit me deeply! Those tears are still hot. I'm praying for the "fever of resolve." as it nearly sounds holy!

Love ya!

A melancholy poem up until the end where there seem to be renewed buds in "the fever of resolve.

Like all your poems, they say more than a few readings can grasp. I guess that is what art offers, glimpses of something beyond. But we reach out anyway..." succumbing to the fever of resolve."
