9/11 - In the Name Of...

In remembering those never found, we must never forget there are certain anthropological realities of history that may be destined to repeat in perpetuity.

9/11- In the Name Of...

It is not like they didn't come
Those brave hearts so choked with fear
It is not like they didn't reach to help
Their bleeding hands all ravaged
From jagged rock and steel
Amidst the twisted smoldering ruins
Laid upon us
In the name of...

We

The ones never found
Were not less important
Only more heavily buried with the ash of evil
From dust-layered extremes of the Middle East
Those places from which hatred floats eternally
As part of interpreted duty to God
Where recipes of poisonous venom are man-made
Monstrous training caldrons simmer
Atop hostile out-of-control fires
In the name of...

We remain missing
Even as the smoke of our witness
Floats eternally as plaintiffs in absentia
Even as more twisted minds
Drinking from their ladles of enmity
Train to vanquish any hope for peace
Learning only to cultivate
Future poisonous attacks
Decreed immune to any antidote
In the name of...

Someone’s Camp David Brain fart?

What in the name of? Indeed. What fools these followers make. Bringing havoc on themselves and others as though they cannot stop. And they do not stop with destroying people. They seem to have a proclivity for destroying symbols, artifacts of great value from the past. Also bloodied and decisive, but still sites of great learning and productivity.

You made me think of the hundred billion or so of humans who have died and gone to dust as it were. I understand that most of the bodies were reduced to fragments like everything else in the crushing of the twin towers's demise. Even the perpetrators probably couldn't imagine such loss of life. The loss of the bodies is what death has been about, forever. As I watch archaeologists dig up ancient graves and artifacts, it is mostly the rich and powerful, while the mass of humanity was recycled for the chemicals and minerals the body possessed. Like the nearly countless people of the Bahamas who were recently washed out to sea where their bodies will never be found unless they wash back up on the shore again.

Nobly and eternally spoken. This needed to be said. Thank you.
