In Place of Anger…
Trust your inner self,
That part of who you are
That is always there,
Even when you ignore
Its presence.
After all…
You’ve the option
Of addressing the slow heat of discontent
Before it becomes the boil of rage.
For…
Like driving out of an impending storm
You might first gaze through fogged vision
Where wipers of your mind’s optics
Can often exorcise the blurred impression,
If you will but acknowledge your inner combustion,
Like a tempest brewing,
Having its pre-warning,
Allowing you to choose,
Cater or flee.
In place of anger…
Embrace the magic of rational discipline
Where the logic of wrath’s “why”
Can be deduced to posited reasoning.
Consider…
The gregarious side of our personality
Possesses the right to speak out.
Yet…
We also have the right to remain silent.
Unfortunately, an incensed mind lacks the ability.
In place of anger
Turn off the thundering voice.
In its place,
The melodious vibration of silence,
The recalling of a soft touch,
The taste of sweet nectar,
A vision of calmness,
The fragrance of a gentle forest rain.
A gracious sunrise but awaits.
Love ya!
