Renewing One's Existence

How desperate humankind is becoming, denying Nature and Man are inexorably intertwined as one. (Image by pinterest)

Poem Artwork

Renewing One’s Existence

Like the ripples of a sand dune

Goes the make-over of daily life

Where one’s evidence of being

Inevitably confronts new vibrations

Extending survival into today’s yin and yang

Accepting contrary forces may actually be

Complementary

Interconnected

Interdependent

How prescient one’s awareness

Consciousness foreshadowing what may be ahead

Yet…

How often we ignore this gift

This rare ability of man to partake of sensations

As nourishment for the mind

Perhaps we need to…

Listen more carefully for today’s shifting winds of emotion

And see better what mindful purpose begs tomorrow

For just as the air of the desert may be without fragrance

Waste not the gustation of its ancient past

For buried beneath undulations of passage

The touch of evolution patiently awaits its next beginning

Your words take me to one blade of grass. From this moment to the next it has changed and is continuing to do so. Hopefully there is a dandelion near it for the bees. Your words and metaphors mold the mind of their reader, Odin! "vibrations"? Yessss......

Love ya!

Struggling with bitterness, (for whatever reasons) or with what one conceives as failure in their life, can impair ones strength and vitality. I am well acquainted with the struggle. I've learned that failure is not the 'falling down' every one of us experiences, (in our quest for originality) but the staying down. Just about the time you feel everything is perhaps coming to an end, that will be the next beginning. Each day is filled with the possibilities of things that never were. Nicely conceptualized Odinsan. Always respect.... r

What a kind, empathetic, and optimistic rendering of interconnectedness. Super.

I like the way you interweave the images of the desert and the "shifting sands" and its rhythms to highlight the instability of life and the need to reassess that " touch of evolution (that) patiently awaits its next beginning. It really is all about beginnings.
