Clown juggling ten-pin grenades of old

High wire tumbler, contortionist, VW bug driver

Escape artist, lion tamer, balloon twister

 

No one detects such lively living

As he strolls through streets darkly

Petting an alley cat

Helping the blind cross the street

 

At home…

 

Sitting across from his TV

A solipsist laments the stock market plunge

While the exhausted citizen deals with the trapeze in his head

Ever turning

Enjoining as one with the audience of unrest

Remaining yet another angry tiger

Afire in a cage

Pacing

Some potent imagery here, as well as the writers strong opinions. For me, the second verse breathed a certain way. Could be a springboard for some flash fiction. Thanx for sharing. Peace... r
