I’m Fine

 

 

Ever think of a person falling apart in the dark

Making any sound

And if sound is mandatory?

 

Is it disturbing, bombastic, and offensive

When the egregious complaints of a broken heart

Are ultimately discovered?

 

Or…

 

Might it be the soft moan,

The lie of the soul

The triumph of deception

That is forgiven with…

 

I’m fine?

I usually say "I'm fine" when I don't want to share any details or get into an in-depth conversation. Interacting with humans is an art that I have not yet mastered. Enjoyed. Thanks for sharing. r

It covers a lot of ills. Especially if one does not want to go into detail. But who wants to hear the details of the "slings and arrows of outrageous fortune all we are all heir to?"

When I learned that a former girlfriend told a friend that I was, "on my last legs." I had an urge to send her an email declaring that I was, "just fine." But my legs are gone… Haven't walked on them for 28 years, so I guess I've been on the last of my legs for a very long time. Really miss dancing with her, a real professional.
