sooner or later

past happens fast
kitchen tiles
shower tiles
missing everywhere

one’s time seems faceless

today’s crisp apples
just passing through
will fall withered
for they know
tomorrow’s ground
is waiting

but we…

intervals waste little time
worms emerge
birds converge
memories submerge

like a tenuous mind-storm
yesterday lingers
wants but a bit more time

sooner or later

our choice

As far as I am concerned, the past is well past; it seems like another life, most of which I don't remember. It seems I have taken Thoreau's remark to heart. Enjoyed your poem as it sets on to thinking. . . indeed . . . about the past.
