Hopefully, there’s a respectful answer for the oceans. (Image by pinterest)

Drops of Water

What If
the drops of water that became an ocean
found the sands of the shoreline begin to once again disappear
the power of its reflection
cower in the shrouded darkness and
erosion of realized hope
watching and waiting for misguided
power to once again bleach its shores
drain the moisture from its heart
and quash the gentle giant of faith

then the ocean of manifest might recede
replaced by the scorched drought of dismay
the dry winds of pain
the dwindling tears of joy
and once again become but drops of water

reaching out for the ocean that once was

the allegory is ours

lest we forget to ponder its message

Our great creator made this earth and designed it to ebb and flow, not only the seas with their tides, but also the ebb and flow of life itself.

That was an ocean of emotion. As if the sea had thoughts. I'm so glad that the water cycle purifies water or we would all be dead a long time ago.

Indeed, what good is the ocean if there isn't a shore. I especially like your reference to "the gentle giant of faith", nicely put.

Disillusionment is a grievous thing...powerful imagery, Odin. Hope beyond hope—only the daring keep faith when "the moisture from its heart has drained away." If we can't find nobility, act nobly anyway.
Blessings.
