Passion My Heart

Poem Artwork

Passion My Heart

So much sadness

Swims about in the sphere of yearning

Ground this longing

Give hope to this simple hunger

For without something to connect

Sweetness

Kindness

 Loving action

Pass without meaning

There is giving to continue

If but passion be granted its due

Tearful as it might be

Never forget, my son

A dry heart

Is a dead heart

Last words

From a mother’s final breath

Perhaps it should be titled, Compassion My Heart. I believe, like mother like son. I am so much like my mother. I hope I don't get as frustrated as she did that she came to her last few years of life, unable to communicate her need to be independent, while dependent.

What could be more poignant and heart rending than a Mother’s last words to her son...
Sensitively and tenderly written...

A poignant scene and image. Regrettably, there were no last words for me from my mother. She died from a brain aneurism, and spent her last days in a comma. I was alone with her shortly before she passed. Blessings... rlc

Last words from a final breath, especially a mother's, can be the most lasting.
