It's a great - and perhaps more fitting - way to think about time. I have often wrestled with these concepts of time and where it fits into eternity. This concept of horizontal and vertical fits in well with the symbolic concept of the stitching in the woven loom of existence, the horizontal being existential; the vertical being transcendental. Your poem is thought-provoking, as all fine poems should be.

According to thousands of NDE returnees, you have described the afterlife correctly. But here, not so much. Confusing, but so is life, death, and rebirth. Fascinating to read.

A very interesting concept that my left brain has a hard time grasping. I have not heard of Block Theory, but I have not kept up with all of the theories created by physics as yet to be tested or proved.

But humans have a right brain where they claim to store all of their spiritual and social side. Enabling them to skip the hard questions and go directly to their beliefs as the source. For example, a very large portion of the human race believes in some preordained, all-knowing and all guiding force they call among many names, God. God knows everyone's future and everyone's past and some sort of endless memory that is to be used at some future time.

If there is an entity that can do this, then Block Theory is proven. There is no future and no past. There is no human will, action or freedom. Everything is already known or done by the great puppeteer, God. Now, isn't that nice?
